"Sonoma's Tuesday night four course wine tasting menu was a huge hit with us. The food could not have been better from start to finish. Seared Scallops encrusted in lemongrass, goat cheese and beet gateau, the main event of Black Angus Tenderloin done to perfection accompanied by a lovely sauce and served on of oven roasted potato slices, followed by bubba rhum for desert. I do not have the wine pairings with me right now so cannot note but they were very good and well matched to each course. Every course really was delicious, delightful, delectable!" "My wife and I knew we were in for a great dining experience as soon as we entered and we were not disappointed. The service was very efficient and friendly. The lobster bisque was outstanding. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly as were the Korean short ribs. Everything was fresh and delicious and the presentation was very nice. The staff went above and beyond to make this one of the most enjoyable meals we've had out in quite a while. "The ambience was perfect. You could hear the person next to you, but not the conversation at the next table. The lighting was minimal; but you could still read the menu. The menu described any number of appetizers, salads and entrees; and we weren't sure how unique they would be. However, each dish was very special. There was an either an unusual seasoning, a distinctive ingredient or an unexpected cooking process. The escargot, the beet salad, the lamb and the Strawberries Romanoff were all done to perfection. The server was pleasant, knowledgeable and extremely professional. On a last note, the well-organized wine list that featured bottles from a variety of countries included wines with varying price points."

"Dear Mary and the Staff at the Colonial Hotel, "I can't say enough about how pleased we were with everything at Melissa & Roland's wedding on June fourteenth. The ballroom, ceremony, and food were all perfect, and all the guests are still "buzzing" about it! I am so glad that my daughter has chosen the hotel for her wedding on August 1st, 2009, and can't wait to spend that weekend at the Colonial. The little details that where taken care of made the evening special. We received many compliments on the ice sculpture(a surprise provided by Mary). She checked in many times during the event to make sure all was running the way we had expected. The wait staff was pleasant and very efficient. The food was delicious, and the room beautifully decorated. It made it easy for us to re-book for next year. This would not have gone off as well as it did without the constant help from Mary. So in closing I say thank you for the wonderful event you helped us plan in your beautiful hotel.
